Cara was born and raised near Madison, Wisconsin, where she obtained a bachelor’s degree in Biology (2009) and Master of Physician Assistant Studies (2012) at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. After graduating, she moved to Maryland and then North Carolina to escape the Wisconsin winters. She relocated to Kentucky to be closer to extended family. Prior to joining Fayette Surgical Associates, she worked in Primary Care for 3 years and Pain Management for 6 years. She has a wonderful husband, and 2 adorable young boys that keep her on her toes. She loves reading, working in the yard, and spending time with family.
Cara joined our Vascular Surgery team in July of 2022. She works in the Somerset and Pasadena Road outpatient clinics. Cara is accepting new vascular patients for a variety of complaints including but not limited to the following: peripheral arterial disease, aortic aneurysms, carotid artery disease, critical limb ischemia, deep vein thrombosis, spider veins, varicose veins, venous insufficiency and mesenteric ischemia. She values great patient care and is devoted to assisting you with your vascular needs.
