Kristi Phelps, MSPAS, PA-C

Kristi is a Kentucky native having graduated from Eastern Kentucky University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. She then attended University of the Cumberlands where she earned a Masters degree in Physician Assistant Studies. She became board certified with the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants in February of 2015. She practiced pain management in Cincinnati, OH and Lexington, KY for a total of 5 years before making the switch to vascular surgery. In her spare time she enjoys traveling and being outdoors.

Kristi joined our Vascular Surgery team in April of 2020. She works primarily with Dr. Abedi, in both inpatient and outpatient settings. She covers both Baptist Health Lexington and Saint Joseph Hospital where she will likely be assisting with your surgery and managing your postoperative care during your hospital stay. Kristi is accepting new vascular patients for a variety of complaints including but not limited to the following: peripheral arterial disease, aortic aneurysms, carotid artery disease, critical limb ischemia, deep vein thrombosis, spider veins, varicose veins, venous insufficiency and mesenteric ischemia. She values great patient care and is devoted to assisting you with your vascular needs.
