Stephanie is a native of central Kentucky. She graduated from Eastern Kentucky University in 2005 where she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. After graduation, she began her nursing career providing bedside patient care with areas of specialty including cardiac care, critical care, and hospital medicine. She went on to earn her Masters degree in nursing with a specialty focus on adult, acute care, and geriatrics from Walden University. While attending Walden University she was recognized for academic excellence by Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. Stephanie became board certified by the American Academy of Critical Care Nurses and maintains certifications in acute care adult gerontology and critical care nursing.
Stephanie practiced as an inpatient Cardiology Nurse Practitioner for four years prior to transitioning to vascular surgery. She is a member of the American Association of Critical Care Nurses and the American Academy of Cardiology.
